Tennis legend Novak Djokovic is set to compete in the 2025 Qatar ExxonMobil Open, the Qatar Tennis Federation has announced today.
This year’s tournament, which will take place from February 17 to 22 at the Khalifa International Tennis Complex, marks its debut as an ATP 500 event, promising an extraordinary week of world-class competition.
The 37-year-old Serbian superstar is on the brink of a career milestone as he aims to secure his 100th professional title in Doha.
The Olympic gold medalist and 24 Grand Slam titles holder, including 10- time Australian Open champion, is poised to deliver another unforgettable performance in the tournament.
Tournament Director Karim Alami shared his enthusiasm for Djokovic’s return: "It’s an honour to welcome Novak Djokovic back to Doha for the 2025 Qatar ExxonMobil Open. His return, especially in the first year of the tournament as an ATP 500 event, adds immense value. Novak is a phenomenal athlete who always captivates with his skill and competitiveness.
"His strong connection with Doha, having won here twice, makes his participation all the more exciting for fans. We can’t wait to see him bring his exceptional game to the Khalifa International Tennis Complex.” He added.
This year’s tournament marks a historic moment as it transitions from an ATP 250 to an ATP 500 event, a significant milestone in its 32-year history.
