Qatar Chamber participated in the recent board of directors and executive office meetings of the Arab-French Chamber of Commerce held in Paris. The delegation was led by Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, accompanied by board member Khalid bin Klefeekh Al Hajri.
The board of directors meeting agenda included ratifying the minutes of the previous meeting, approving the 2025 estimated budget, reviewing recent chamber activities, and preparing for the 5th France-Arab Countries Economic Summit. Scheduled to commence on December 12, the summit aims to further enhance economic cooperation between France and theArab world.
During the executive office meeting, discussions focused on scheduling upcoming chamber body meetings and addressing topics to strengthen collaboration among member countries.
Sheikh Khalifa highlighted the growing economic and commercial relations between Arab nations and France, emphasizing the importance of these meetings in fostering ties. He noted the strong trade relations between Qatar and France, with bilateral trade volume reaching QR 9.2 billion in 2023, and described France as a vital trade partner for Qatar.
Sheikh Khalifa reaffirmed Qatar Chamber’s commitment to bolstering economic cooperation, stating that Qatari investors are eager to explore opportunities in France across various sectors. He also encouraged French businesses to expand their presence in Qatar, leveraging the country’s investment-friendly environment.
The participation of Qatar Chamber in these meetings underscores its proactive role in promoting collaboration between the Arab and French business communities, aligning with its vision of enhancing global partnerships and fostering sustainable economic growth.
