The Aspire Zone Foundation launched Queen and King of the court Beach Volleyball Finals 2024, which is considered one of the most prominent sporting events in Qatar and the region, from 12 to 14 December 2024.
The tournament comes is in its fourth year in a row in cooperation with the Qatar Volleyball Association, among a great audience presence and an enthusiastic atmosphere.
The tournament attracts participants from various continents, including the most prominent champions in this sport.
The first day of the tournament began with the qualifying round, which witnessed a strong struggle from the teams representing West Asian countries.
Among these teams was the Qatari team, consisting of the duo Ihab Mohamed, accompanied by the Dutchman Mees Sengers, which is performing strongly in the tournament.
The Saudi team, consisting of Ibrahim Al Moaiqel and Seraj Al Amri, also participated in the qualifiers, as well as two teams from Oman: the first led by the duo Haitham Al-Shereiqi and Mazin Al Hashmi, and the second, which qualified directly to the group stage led by Ahmed Al Hosni and Nooh Al Julbobi.
The qualifiers also included the Gambian team of Sainey Jawo and PA Alieu Njie, who performed outstandingly in their attempts to qualify.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Fahad Al Thani, member of the organizing committee of Queen and King of the court Beach Volleyball Championship 2024, said that this tournament represents a global sporting event of great importance in the field of beach sports.
He explained that the current edition of the tournament is characterized by a diversity of events and competitions that include the best international teams, which reflects Qatar’s advanced position in hosting major international sports tournaments.
He said: “Queen and King of the court tournament is one of the highlights of our sporting calendar, and we are proud to host it for the fourth year in a row, this event is not just a sporting competition, but a sporting celebration full of recreational and cultural activities that suit the whole family, we are keen to provide a unique experience that combines sports excitement and entertainment events, allowing visitors and participants to enjoy every moment in a festive atmosphere full of excitement.”
