DOHA: Dreama Orphan Care Center, one of the centers of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development and Family, launched the second series of the new children's story collection, in an event held at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Education City.
This collection aims to shed light on the stories of the prophets and companions who faced various challenges in their lives, to be inspiring models for children that enhance their belief in their ability to face challenges and succeed.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed Al Thani, Executive Director of Dreama Center, said, “We at Dreama Center believe in the importance of providing content that enriches the minds of our orphaned children and instills in them the values of patience and will, through stories that carry deep human meanings.”
She added that this collection is not just stories, but rather messages of hope and educational tools that help children realize that challenges are a natural part of life, and that they are capable of overcoming them, just as the prophets and orphan companions did before them.
The Executive Director of Dreama Center explained that “this project represents one of the most important initiatives that aim to promote human values in the souls of our orphans, and to provide purposeful creative content that carries noble messages that touch hearts and enrich minds,” noting that the new series sheds light on the stories of great historical figures, including prophets and companions.
She explained that stories are a unique educational tool, and a universal language that reaches children’s minds and hearts in a simple and profound way at the same time.
She added, “Through this series, we aspire to instill noble values, enhance self-confidence, and inspire children to become active members of their community.”
