Qatar National Day is a cherished occasion eagerly awaited by citizens and residents alike to express their love and pride in their nation. It is an opportunity to showcase national achievements, celebrate the history and heritage of the forefathers, and take pride in the developmental milestones Qatar has achieved across various fields. It also reaffirms the commitment to continue the country’s comprehensive development journey and fulfil national aspirations for the present and future.

The festivities, held from 4pm to 8pm, witnessed wide participation and strong engagement from senior officials, Ministry staff, labour sector partners, various segments of Qatari society, and expatriate communities. The event highlighted Qatar’s cultural diversity and strengthened feelings of unity, loyalty, and pride among citizens and residents, emphasising the importance of enhancing national, social, and cultural ties and showcasing Qatar’s unique identity.

The programme was filled with a variety of engaging and interactive activities, including national competitions, artistic and heritage performances, traditional Qatari children’s games, and cultural and social activities introducing Qatar’s rich heritage and culture.

Expatriate communities participated in a heritage parade, where members of each community wore traditional costumes while carrying the Qatari flag alongside the flags of their home countries. Folk troupes performed a variety of traditional songs and artistic displays, promoting cultural exchange, coexistence, and mutual understanding within Qatari society.
