DOHA: Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi held a phone call with United Nations Special Envoy to Syria Geir Pedersen.
During the call, the latest developments in Syria were discussed.
During the call, the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the position of the State of Qatar regarding the ongoing developments in Syria and the necessity of supporting the transitional process in a way that preserves Syria's unity, territorial integrity and the aspirations of its brotherly people in all its components.
He pointed out the importance of concerted international efforts, including the efforts of the United Nations and its agencies, to support the Syrian people and achieve their legitimate aspirations for security, stability and prosperity.
