The competent authorities at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) arrested 65 violators and 90 minors of different nationalities for committing illegal practices during the National Day celebrations. In addition, 600 vehicles were seized for their drivers’ illegal behaviours.
In a social media post on X platform, the Ministry of Interior said that the concerned authorities arrested a number of people after they displayed illegal practices and behaviors during the National Day celebrations in various locations by using soap sprayers and rubber bands to assault passers-by, practicing inappropriate behaviors, climbing on the roofs of cars, and opening the doors of vehicles while they were moving, endangering their lives and others, in addition to violating traffic regulations and rules for vehicles.
It said 65 violators of different nationalities were referred to the Public Prosecution to take the necessary procedures in this regard.
In addition, 90 minors of different nationalities who committed the same practices were arrested. Their guardians were summoned and the necessary pledges were taken not to repeat them, and then legal measures were taken against them. (TNN)
