THE Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani honoured the winners of Qatar’s State awards in sciences, arts and literature.
Those who were honoured included Dr Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Turki al Subaie in the field of education, Mohammed Jassim al Khulaifi in the field of museums and archaeology, Dr Saif Saeed Saif al Suwaidi for economics, Dr Yousif Mohammed Yousif al Obaidan for political science, Dr Hamad Abdulrahman al Saad al Kuwari and Mohanna Rashid al Asiri al Maadeed for earth and environmental sciences, Dr Huda Mohammed Abdullatif al Nuaimi for allied medical sciences and nursing, Dr Asma Ali Jassim al Thani for allied medical sciences and nursing, Salman Ibrahim Sulaiman al Malik for the art of caricature, and Abdulaziz Ibrahim al Mahmoud for novel.
HH the Amir commended the winners’ efforts, distinguished performance and appreciable role in their works, wishing them all success in rendering service to their homeland.
On their part, the awardees expressed their thanks to HH the Amir for the honour describing it as a source of pride for them.
