DOHA: The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) has announced the launch of the second edition of the challenge camp for boys and girls, in collaboration with key national government bodies to inspire Qatari youth to embrace leadership, cultural awareness, and the spirit of discovery.

The camp for boys is scheduled from Dec 21 to 25, while for girls it is scheduled from Dec 29 to 31, at MIA premises.

Being focused on national values and Islamic teachings, the camp offers a holistic experience combining education, entertainment, and skill-building within a safe and engaging environment.

The programme features a wide array of activities, including educational workshops, scouting events, and sports programmes, to nurture leadership qualities, foster cultural appreciation, and encourage participants to explore the history of Islamic arts.

Deputy Director of Learning and Outreach of MIA, Salem Al Aswad, said the challenge camp is a testament to the dedication to fostering leadership and cultural awareness in youth, highlighting that the programme intends to combine education, entertainment, and sports in a safe environment, to ultimately prepare a generation that is not only proud of its heritage but also ready to contribute positively to the society.

The challenge camp serves as a platform to cultivate an enlightened generation empowered with the knowledge to face future challenges. Additionally, the camp underscores MIA's dedication to supporting national identity and Islamic values through meaningful initiatives.
