HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, the President of Qatar Olympic Committee, on Saturday congratulated Kuwait on the opening ceremony of the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup football and wished the event all success. In a message on ‘X’ platform, HE Sheikh Joaan said, “We congratulate Watan Al Nahar, the sisterly State of Kuwait, on the beautiful opening ceremony of “Gulf26” and we wish them success in organizing this edition. The Gulf Cup Football Championship contributes to the development of Gulf sports and the consolidation of the bonds of love and cooperation between the peoples of the Gulf, with the values of tolerance and civilized competition it carries. We also wish our national team success in the championship and the achievement of aspirations”. The final of the tournament is scheduled for January 3, 2025.
