To celebrate Qatar National Sport Day 2019, Pak Shamaa School and College (PSS) organised a special programme named ‘Sports Gala’ featuring an array of sporting activities on its premises in Mesaimeer area, recently.
Defence Attaché at the Pakistan embassy Commodore Irfan Taj was the chief guest at the event while Community Welfare Attache Hafiz Junaid Amir Sial was the guest of honour. The guests were welcomed by School Management Committee President M A Shahid, Principal Nabila Kaukab and other school officials.
The function started with the ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by playing of the national anthems of Qatar and Pakistan. Students presented an impressive march past and a spectacular physical training show.
Students from junior and senior sections took part in various sports and games. Zumba performance by students drew applause from the guests.
The winners were awarded trophies and prizes. The winners were selected on team as well as individual basis.
Established in 1958, PSS is one of the oldest community educational institutions in Qatar having students of different countries.
