The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the temporary closure of Al Waab signal-controlled intersection in all directions on the main carriageway on Thursday, February 21. Free flow right turn lanes will remain operational, it said.
The closure, which will be implemented for 12 hours (12am-12pm), will facilitate completion of a temporary signal-controlled roundabout.
During the closure, road users travelling through or turning left at Al Waab Street from any direction can utilise the free flow right turns and perform a U-turn at the next available junction.
Ashghal said it would install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and requested all road users to abide by the speed limit of 50kph and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
