Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic said he’s feeling completely fit after recovering from a collarbone fracture suffered in October.
“I have no more problems, no fear,” he told the Munich’s Abendzeitung newspaper in an interview published on Wednesday.
Pavlovic sustained the injury, which required surgery, in a Bundesliga match against VfB Stuttgart on October 19. He made his return in the German Cup defeat to Bayer Leverkusen on December 3.
He said that during his recovery he was helped by coach Vincent Kompany.
“He’s great for us players because he’s been through almost every situation himself as a player. Especially when you’re injured, he talks to you a lot and makes you feel like you’re still part of the team,” Pavlovic said.
The midfielder also spoke of a big goal for the team in 2025: Reaching the Champions League final, which will be played at Bayern’s Allianz Arena on May 31.
“A final at home is of course insane - and we will do everything to reach this one and also to win it,” he said.
Bayern have already played a Champions League final at home, but were left heartbroken after a dramatic defeat on penalties to Chelsea in 2012.
In the current season, Bayern are 10th in the the league phase table with two games left, with only the top eight reaching direct qualification for the last 16. Teams placed 9th to 24th will have to play the knock-out stage play-off.
