The Qatari force participating in the joint Dir’ Al-Jazeera (Peninsula Shield) exercise (10) arrived at the King Abdulaziz Air Base in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. The exercise will continue until March 12. The joint Gulf exercise aims to further unify the military strategic concepts and plans, and increase coherence and synergy between the participating forces from the GCC countries.
The force was received upon arrival by head of the reception committee Brig Gen Nasser Ibrahim al Salem. On the occasion, Brigadier General Khamis Mohammed Dablan, Commander of the Qatari force participating in the 10th Al-Jazeera shield exercise, said this exercise supports the bonds of cooperation and relations between the GCC countries, highlights synergy in the military field and keeps abreast of the development to face challenges and dangers of various kinds.
