Maritime vessels need to have valid registrations, safety equipment: MoT

DOHA: The Ministry of Transport (MoT) has calledupon helmspersons (steermen) of all types of maritime vessels to ensure a valid registration certificate is available, andthe vessel carries clear numbers.

They should also ensure thatmaritime safety and security equipment are onboard, MoT said in a scoail media post on Sunday.

If a violation occurs, legal measures will be taken, MoT added.
