Temperatures to drop with arrival of fresh to strong winds: QMD

DOHA: Qatar will be affected bynorthwesterly winds ranging from fresh to strong in speed starting on Tuesday (Dec 31) evening, which will intensify on Wednesday (Jan 1), Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has said.

As a result of the weather condition temperatures will drop and causean increased feeling of cold, QMD said in a social media post.

The impact of the winds is expected to continue through the weekend.

QMD has also issued amarine warning for the period.
