The temperatures are likely to plunge further across the country with the arrival of fresh strong winds, according to Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD).
“The country will be affected by northwesterly winds starting this evening, which will intensify tomorrow, Wednesday, ranging from fresh to strong in speed,” said QMD on X platform.
As a result of the weather condition temperatures will drop and will cause an increased feeling of cold, it added. The impact of the winds is expected to continue through the weekend.
QMD has also issued a marine warning for the period.
“January, the second month of winter, is the coldest month of the year. Cold fronts are common during this month, with frequent low pressure systems usually accompanied with thunderstorms,” it added.
