QNA/TNNViennaThe Qatari national football team has started their campaign in the friendlies while being based in Autsria as part of their preparations for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. On Saturday, Al Annabi played against an Morocco ‘A’ side and the match ended in a 2-2 draw at the Wiener Neustadt Stadium. Pedro Miguel and Ali Asad scored Qatar’s goals. Yahya Jubran (from a penalty kick) and Mahdi Obila scored Morocco A team’s goals.The match witnessed a strong and friendly force on the part of the two teams as the preference for Morocco in the first half was performance and result, while Qatar dominated the second half.The Qatari national team is scheduled to meet in its second match with the Ghana national team on Tuesday (August 23) before playing Jamaica on the 26th of this month.These matches are part of the Qatari national team’s preparations for the 2022 World Cup, which begins on November 20.The Qatari team started a preparation period last June with a camp in Spain, then followed it up with a second camp last July in Austria. During the last period, it played a number of preparatory matches with a number of European clubs.
