The second stage of the joint Dir Al Jazeera (Peninsula Shield) exercise (10) which involves a Qatari force and forces from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, concluded in Dammam on Saturday.The commanders were trained to manage military operations and to use simulations to deal with the virtual reality of military operations.The third stage of the exercise, which includes field training with live ammunition, was also launched today. It would be followed by the fourth and final stages with a closing ceremony after which the participating forces will leave. (QNA)
