MunichcTypeface:> Bayern Munich started their preparations for the second half of the season on Thursday, with captain Manuel Neuer fit to play a full part. After suffering a broken rib at the beginning of December, the former Germany goalkeeper was back for the first team training session of the new year under coach Vincent Kompany. Other stars such as Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala, Joshua Kimmich and Thomas Müller also took part in the session. Kingsley Coman (torn muscle), Josip Stanisic (torn ligament in his right knee) and Serge Gnabry (knee problems) were also in attendance after 12 days’ holiday over the German festive period. Hiroki Ito (metatarsal fracture) and João Palhinha (torn muscle) only trained individually while full back Sacha Boey (ligament injury in his left ankle) was absent. The Bundesliga leaders face a friendly at former Austrian champions Salzburg on Monday and return to league action a week on Saturday at Borussia Mönchengladbach. (dpa)
