New boss Sergio Conceicao enjoyed a dream start to his reign as AC Milan reached the Italian Super Cup final by beating Juventus 2-1 in Saudi Arabia.

Conceicao, who was named as Paulo Fonseca’s replacement earlier this week, saw Milan strike twice in the last 19 minutes.

And the comeback victory secured an appointment with arch-rivals Inter Milan on Monday.

Turkey international Kenan Yildiz’s first-half strike looked as though it might be enough to settle the contest.

AC Milan offered little as an attacking threat in comparison, with Theo Hernandez’s off-target header early in the second period proving a rare chance.

Hernandez then fired a shot high and wide, but Milan continued to plug away and Christian Pulisic scored from the spot after he was fouled by Manuel Locatelli in the 71st minute.

Just four minutes later, Juventus fell behind when Yunus Musah’s cross hit defender Federico Gatti and left goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio stranded off his line.
