Minister of State for International Cooperation HE Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad met with Foreign Minister of the new Syrian administration Asaad Al Shibani in Doha on Sunday.
The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to enhance and develop them, particularly with regards to humanitarian work and development.
The two sides also discussed the latest updates in Syria, increasing Qatari humanitarian aid to assist the brotherly Syrian people, and a host of topics of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the Minister of State for International Cooperation reiterated Qatar’s call for intensified international efforts to increase humanitarian aid to the Syrian people.
Misnad also met with Ambassador of the United States of America to Qatar HE Timmy Davis.
During the meeting, they discussed the relations between the two countries and the latest developments in the region, particularly in Syria.
She also met with Canadian Minister of International Development Ahmed Hussen.
The meeting discussed ties between Qatar and Canada, and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of development and humanitarian work.
The meeting also discussed the latest developments in Syria, in addition to a host of topics of mutual interest.
Acting Director of the Department of American Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jassim Mohamed Al Asmakh attended the meetings.
