ChupaChups, distributed in Qatar exclusively by Ali Bin Ali (ABA) Holding’s FMCG Division - Dohatna Innovative Distribution, is all set to hit the racing tracks.
The most loved lollipop in the world is bringing fun on two wheels as the 20-year-old partnership with Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle road racer Jorge Lorenzo has been renewed.
The iconic logo, originally designed by Salvador Dali, returns to the tracks of the World Motorcycle Championship - embellishing the helmet of one of the greatest champions of all times.
Jorge is the holder of five world championship titles and recently joined the
Honda team.
He will wear his new helmet with the ChupaChups logo in the 2019 and 2020 World Championships, starting with the upcoming Qatar Grand Prix on March 10.
ChupaChups will also accompany Jorge every time he climbs onto the podium as the star racer will unwrap and consume a ChupaChups lollipop, a fun and irreverent way to celebrate his successes, showing his many fans how he enjoys the brand for which he has been a true ambassador for many years.
“I could not resist the temptation to show off my new Shark helmet, showcasing the legendary ChupaChups daisy logo, right from the start of the pre-season tests,” said Jorge. “Motorcycling isn’t just sacrifice, passion and commitment, it is also having fun and ChupaChups is a fun brand. My passion for motorcycling dates back to childhood and ChupaChups, like motorbiking, is part of my childhood fun, a memory that has been part of many adventures and achievements and that it’s still present now.”
Jorge’s fondness for the iconic lollipop brand has lasted for over 20 years since, way back in 1999, his helmet was ‘signed’ ChupaChups, accompanying him through the early years of his career in both the 125cc and 250cc class, when he won the championship in 2006 and 2007, up until 2008 when he raced his first championship in the 500cc class.
The helmet with the ChupaChups logo became an iconic element and part of the brand’s history.
Commenting about Dohatna’s association with ChupaChups, General Manager of Dohatna Innovative Distribution Mohammad Imran said, “ChupaChups is a highly popular brand in Qatar and its endorsement by such an iconic character will only add to its popularity. ABA Holding and Dohatna are proud to be partners with the brand.”
