DOHA: Minister of Transport HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Thani has inaugurated the Turquoise Line of the Lusail Tram network.
Following the inauguration of the new line, the minister took part in an inspection tour of the Turquoise Line stations, the main control centre and maintenance facilities.
With the latest addition, theLusail Tram now extends over a distance of 19 km.
It includes 25 stations distributed over four lines: Orange, Pink, Purple and Turquoise.
At the event, the minister said: "The opening of the Turquoise Line of the Lusail Tram Network comes in line with the Ministry’s plans to provide an integrated and environmentally friendly public transport system that adopts the latest technological systems and the best sustainable practices."
