The Qatar Investment and Innovation Conference will kick off on January 15 at Msheireb, with the participation of influential leaders from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The conference will focus on discussing investment opportunities, regional economic growth, and the growing impact of innovation and technology in shaping the region’s future.

According to a statement by Msheireb Properties, the conference will hold two discussion panels, the first entitled “The Future of Economic Zones - Innovation and Opportunities”, that will explore the future of economic zones in GCC countries, with an emphasis on the role of innovation and collaboration. Discussions will also address the impact of public-private partnerships and regional cooperation on fostering innovation.

The statement added that the second panel titled “The Role of Technology in Infrastructure and Private Investment’s Impact on Regional Connectivity in the GCC”, will focus on how technology and private investment shape infrastructure development in the GCC countries, where participants will discuss strategies to enhance regional connectivity and support sustainable economic growth through technological advancement.

Prior to the main conference, HEC Paris, as the conference’s knowledge partner, will host an interactive workshop featuring speakers from HBKU, Microsoft, Schneider Electric and Expertise France, followed by a hackathon session.

The statement indicated that local and international speakers will participate in the conference, in addition to participants from the Qatar Chamber, the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce, the US- Qatar Business Council, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and others.

The conference will also highlight the importance of the private sector’s combined efforts with the government’s relentless efforts in the GCC.
