INDIAN Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF), a community welfare orgainsation working under the aegis of Indian Embassy, on Wednesday bade farewell to the Second Secretary at the embassy and Coordinating Officer of ICBF Mohammed Aleem. Indian Ambassador to Qatar HE P Kumaran attended the event.
In his speech on the occasion, Kumaran praised Aleem’s role in supporting Indian labourers in Qatar and sorting out many of their issues successfully during his tenure as second secretary at the embassy.
In his presidential address, ICBF President P Baburajan praised the services and support rendered by M Aleem during his two-year tenure as coordinating officer and applauded his efforts to increase ICBF’s activities for the benefit of expatriates.
Indian Cultural Centre President A P Manikantan, Indian Business and Professionals Council President Azim Abbas and Indian Sports Centre President Nilangshu Dey also thanked Aleem for the support they received from him.
Meanwhile, ICBF president presented a memento to M Aleem for his distinguished service to the community members.
For his part, Aleem thanked Ambassador P Kumaran for his support and guidance that helped him to perform his duties to the best of his abilities.
Others who spoke on occasion were ICBF General Secretary Avinash Gaikwad, Vice President Mahesh Gowda, Treasurer Nivedita Ketkar and Joint Secretary Santosh Kumar Pillai.
