The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is expanding its operations with the commencement of a direct flight for Sialkot from January 21.
Speaking to Qatar Tribune, the national carrier’s country manager, Malik Muhammad Waqas, said the new frequency on Sialkot-Doha-Sialkot sector would be operated every Tuesday.
With the inauguration of the new frequency, the total number of weekly flights from Qatar to Pakistan reaches nine, with three weekly flights each for Islamabad and Lahore and two weekly flights for Peshawar.
“We are pleased to start one weekly flight for Sialkot from January 21 in view of the high demand of our valued customers. The flight on Tuesday will depart Doha at 1.10 pm and will arrive in Sialkot at 6.35 pm,” said Waqas.
“The new flight will not only benefit the residents of Lahore but also the adjoining cities like Gujrat, Wazirabad, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Jhelum, Lala Musa, and Kharian. We urge the community members to make this operation a big success so that we can also plan flights for other stations,” he added.
Waqas noted with pleasure that the Pakistani community in Qatar has greatly appreciated the measures taken by PIA’s Chief Commercial Officer Nausherwan Adil to expand the operations by fulfilling their long-cherished demand to launch the direct flight for Sialkot.
“We are offering highly competitive fares from Doha to Pakistan with 50kg baggage allowance for the convenience of our valued customers. We are taking every step to provide excellent services to our valued customers and taking every measure to win back the lost trust and loyalty of community members. We are determined to attain the national carrier’s past glory. There is always a room for improvement in any organisation and PIA will try its best to live up to the expectations of its community members despite many challenges faced by the carrier,” remarked Waqas.
