The Mandarin Oriental Doha on Saturday unveiled a personalised version of its renowned nine-bladed fan logo to celebrate the official opening of the luxury hotel, which is centrally located in Msheireb Downtown Doha.
The fan, which is designed to convey Doha’s uniqueness and local culture, was unveiled on Saturday by Qatar National Tourism Council’s assistant secretary-general Hassan Abdulrahman al Ibrahim, Msheireb Properties’ acting chief executive officer Ali al Kuwari, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s chief marketing officer Jill Kluge and its general manager for Doha Martin Schnider. Every Mandarin Oriental hotel around the world has its own signature. Created in Qatar and handcrafted in France by Maison Duvelleroy, the burgundy tone and patterns on each of the nine fan blades depict a series of connected symbols that are intrinsic to Doha, while the tassel is a beautiful reminder of the significance of pearling for the heritage of the city.
