DOHA: As part of the plan of the Ministry of Sports and Youth to develop sports and recreational facilities in neighbourhood playgrounds in all parts of the country,the Assets and Projects Department, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, will replace the artificial turf floors in neighborhood playgrounds and other playgrounds.
This will complete the work of the first phase,the ministry said on Saturday.
As a second phase, the ministry will replace the artificial turfsin 14 playgrounds, in order to prepare them for playing football on a suitable and healthy surface and to preserve the health of stadium visitors.
The playgrounds will be available for use after the completion of maintenance work.
It is expected that the work will be completed during the month of August 2025.
