Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani has stressed the importance of enhancing trade and investment cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman, deepening strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors, as well as boosting bilateral trade exchange.
This came during a meeting between the Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman HE Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, on the margin of the former's visit to Oman, during which they discussed bilateral trade, industrial, and investment relations and explored opportunities for cooperation in various fields.
The minister stated that the meeting is a valuable opportunity to exchange views and ideas to enhance trade and investment cooperation and develop bilateral economic relations, adding that it also aims to identify future areas for cooperation that would drive economic growth in both countries.
He said that the State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman share common goals and ambitions with regards to strengthening bilateral relations in various fields, noting the need to intensify efforts to achieve economic integration in various commercial, industrial, and investment sectors.
The minister also toured the "Invest Oman Lounge" together with the Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, where he was briefed on the main services provided to facilitate procedures and serve investors in the Sultanate of Oman.
