A total of 561 Class-XII students from the Golden Jubilee Batch of MES Indian School were honoured during the graduation ceremony held in the Conference Hall recently. The school bade farewell to its 2024-25 batch amidst jubilation and exultation in a glittering ceremony that marked the culmination of their schooling.

The chief guest, Dr Najeeb K P, president officiating, MES Governing Board, congratulated the students on their successful graduation and urged them to be ambitious in attaining their goals and exercise discretion, as the paths of life in the world outside are diverse.

The directors and members of the school Governing Board presented certificates of merit and mementos to the best outgoing students of various streams of Class XII, who excelled in their respective domains.

All the major student officials, prefects, club secretaries, members of Scouts and Guides, Campus Care Force, and students who achieved 100 percent attendance during the academic year 2024-25 were presented with certificates and mementos for their creditable contributions to the school.

Nandakishor Santhosh (Science), Riswin Mathew Wilson (Commerce) and Ahmadullah Arif (Humanities) were adjudged the best outgoing students in the Boys’ Section, while Angeline Maria Laxon (Science), Maliha Mumtaz Najeeb (Commerce) and Jiya Maria Jude (Humanities) won the best outgoing student title in the Girls’ Section.

Jenesh Satheesh Mathew and Sheza Fatima were declared the best all-rounders. Jitheshadhitya N N and Saavariya Arun Nambiar won the Talent of the Year award. Ahmad Faisal and Steffi Vargheese Mathew were honoured as the best outgoing prefects.

Krishh Zenith and Durra Mohamed Rafi were adjudged the best all-rounders in sports. Mohammed Faneez and Gazal Jiju Abraham were declared the best sports talents of the year. Faizan Irfan Ahmad and Fathima Hanna P K were adjudged the best outgoing Scout and Guide, respectively. Abdullah Beig and Bains Zainab were named the best outgoing Campus Care Force members. Kevin Saji and Jazaa Jasmin were declared the best band leaders.

MES Principal Dr Hameeda Kadar, in her felicitation speech, congratulated the students on successfully completing their final year of schooling and urged them to embrace perseverance as they embark on a new journey. She encouraged them to uphold to the great ideals of MES, such as sincerity, honesty, and hard work, in their pursuit of future endeavours.

DAS Rex, Coordinator of the Department of English, delivered a speech on behalf of the teaching fraternity.

Student representatives, Aryan Unnikrishnan and Onaisa Rashid, in their reflections, expressed their gratitude and highlighted the significant role and valuable contributions of their alma mater in preparing them to face the future successfully.

A medley of songs and dance performances in fusion lent a musical treat and an emotional touch, bringing forth precious nostalgic moments from the students’ lives at MES.

Those present on the occasion included members of the MES Governing Board and school officials.

Earlier, Hadiya, Assistant Head Girl, welcomed the attendees, and Mohamad Kamal Ali Badran, Assistant Head Boy, proposed the vote of thanks.
