The Pakistan Business Council Qatar (PBCQ) organised a warm reception to welcome the newly-appointed Ambassador of Pakistan to the State of Qatar HE Lt General (R) Muhammad Aamer.

The event, held at Marriott Marquis City Centre Doha Hotel, was attended by distinguished members of the Pakistani business community and senior officers from the Embassy of Pakistan.

Imran Rafique, General Secretary of PBCQ, opened the meeting by outlining the Council’s mission, vision, and its significant contributions to Qatar’s socio-economic development. He emphasised the Council’s role as a facilitator

of collaboration between Pakistani entrepreneurs and professionals in Qatar.

Members of the Council introduced themselves and their respective contributions to Qatar’s economic and social landscape, with Riyaz Ahmed Bakali, Co-President of PBCQ, presenting key accomplishments of the Pakistani diaspora.

Israr Malazai, President of PBCQ, articulated the Council’s commitment to creating expanded opportunities for the Pakistani community, enhancing professional ties, and advancing the shared goals of its members. He reiterated the Council’s dedication to promoting strategic initiatives to strengthen the community’s impact on Qatar’s development.

HE Lt General (R) Muhammad Aamer expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the reception and commended the Council’s pivotal role in fostering a robust and unified Pakistani community. Drawing upon his distinguished career in military and civil service, he reiterated his resolve to fortify the historical bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He also outlined strategies to enhance employment opportunities for skilled Pakistani workers and pledged unwavering support for local businesses in Qatar.

“It is my firm belief that by fostering unity and mutual collaboration, we can achieve remarkable milestones in strengthening Pakistan-Qatar relations. My commitment to deepening this bond remains steadfast,” remarked the ambassador.

The event chaired by Fawad Rana, Chairperson of PBCQ, served as an invaluable platform to formally introduce the ambassador to the vibrant Pakistani diaspora in Qatar and Qatar’s vibrant Pakistani business community. Rana, recognised as the driving force behind the Council’s initiatives, extended a heartfelt welcome and reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to fostering robust business and trade ties between the two brotherly countries. He reaffirmed the Council’s unwavering commitment to fostering enhanced business, trade, and cultural relations between Pakistan and Qatar.

The event also acknowledged the notable contributions of Deputy Head of Mission Syed Mustafa Rabbani; Trade and Investment Attaché Ms Serein Asad; and Community Welfare Attaché Osama Idrees whose dedication in fostering bilateral relations was applauded.

The reception concluded with an elegant networking session, providing an excellent opportunity for dialogue and collaborative exchanges, symbolising the shared vision of progress and prosperity for both countries.

Senior business leaders Ahmed Hussain, G D Bangash, Khaqan Khan, Malik Rafique, Muhammad Khan, Mustafa Bakali, Parvez Iqbal, Salman Shaban, Sayab Khan, Shahid Khan and Sobia Sarmad were present at the event.

The remarkable occasion underscored the Pakistan Business Council Qatar’s dedication to empowering the Pakistani diaspora and strengthening the bonds between Pakistan and Qatar.
