The third round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Peru was held in Lima on Thursday.
The Qatari side was headed by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, while Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, John Peter Cannock, headed the Peruvian side.
Discussion during the round, focused on the relations between the two friendly countries and ways to support and enhance them, in addition to a host of issues of common concern.
Moreover, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Academy of Peru.
The agreement was signed on the Qatari side by HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, while on the Peruvian side it was signed by Ambassador HE Julio Garro Galvez, director of the Diplomatic Academy.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met with Deputy Minister of Mines of the Republic of Peru Henry John Luna Cordova and Deputy Minister of Hydrocarbons of the Republic of Peru Iris Marleni Cardenas Pino.
Separately, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met on Thursday with Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Peru Carlos Alberto Mendoza.
During the meetings, they discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them.
