Qatar’s Rashid Towaim Al Marri emerged as champion in CSI4*- Two Phases - 1.40m - Art. 274.1.5.3 class while Britain’s Millie Allen topped the CSI4* - Faults & Time - 1.45m (LR) - Art. 238.2.1 class on the opening day of the second leg of the Doha International Tour 2025 at the Longines Arena of Al Shaqab Thursday.
The three-day second round began amidst a large audience presence with a total of six categories for CSI one-star, two-star and four-star categories at different heights, in addition to a round for Future Riders.
The round is witnessing the participation of more than 400 local and international riders, and the event has total prizes worth more than 400,000 euros.
The CSI4*- Two Phases - 1.40m - Art. 274.1.5.3 class title was bagged by Rashid Towaim Ali Al Marri, who combined superbly with his horse Navaronne to finish on top in flawless 27.53 seconds. Al Marri was followed by Portuguese rider Duarte Seabra on Van Halen Z in second place with a time of 28.52 seconds. The third podium place went to Ukrainian Anastasia Bondarieva, who along with Virunga H Z Anastasia, finished in 30.63 seconds.
The winners were honoured by Khalid Issa Al Hammadi, Senior Vice-President Operations at Qatar Airways.
The CSI4* - Faults & Time - 1.45m (LR) - Art. 238.2.1 class witnessed exciting competition till the very end with British rider Millie Allen emerging on top astride Quick Diamant HR in 61.69 seconds. The second place was bagged by Abdullah Alsharbatly of Saudi Arabia, clocking 64.24 seconds on Boeckmanns Lord Pezi Junior, while Portuguese Duarte Seabra on Cooper LB was third with a time of 64.3 seconds.
The winners were crowned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Fahad Al Thani, representative of Doha Bank.

The first round of the CSI2* - Special Two-Phases - 1.30m - Art. 274.2.5 category saw Faris Saad A H Al Qahtani excel on his mount Hidiene to claim the top podium place in flawless 30.52 seconds, followed by Jaber Rashid A B Al Amri astride Apollon du Banney in second place, clocking 31.32 seconds, while Mohammed Khalifa Al-Baker, who achieved a time of 31.65 seconds on Dukhan 3, was third. The winners were crowned by Omar Al Bouainain, Deputy Director of Doha International Tour.

The CSI2* - Faults & Time - 1.45m (LR) - GP Qualifier - Art. 238.2.1 was clinched by Italian Emanuele Gaudiano as he rode Chalou with aplomb for a flawless best routine of 64.15 seconds. His compatriot Roberto Previtali, riding Hachiko finished in 64.47 seconds to be second while Austrian Gerfried Puck astride Equitron Melody Vd Smidshoeve clocked 65.27 seconds to be third.
The winners were crowned by Dr. Eman Al Ansari, Advisor to the CEO of Abdulghani Motors.

CSI1* category
The CSI1* - Special Two-Phase - 1.10m - Art. 274.2.5 class too saw close competition with Shaheen Abu Green of Libya returning flawless rides astride Henriette with the best time of 27.62 seconds to claim the top podium place. Abed Sanosy of Saudi Arabia was second astride Nina Rite E Z, finishing in 28.03 seconds, while Qatar’s Mohammed Faisal Al Marri claimed the third podium spot on his trusted mount Miss Chili, with a time of 28.67 seconds.
The winners were crowned by Mohammed Jaber Al-Khayareen, Event Director, Doha International Tour.
The CSI1* - Faults & Time - 1.20m - Art. 238.2.1 class was bagged by Saudi rider Turky Alsaawy, who along with Falco, clocked the best time of 53.22 seconds. He was followed by Qatari rider Ibrahim Khalid Al Kuwari on Flexy Bel Z in the second place with a time of 53.31 seconds. Saudi rider Mohammed Al-Asaker finished third with Scoobylensky Theyss in 53.98 seconds.
The winners were crowned by Nasser Al Hajri, the Tour’s Sports Director.

Future Riders’ National Competition - Optimum Time - 0.60 m round generated a lot of excitement both among the riders and the fans where Rodha Tamim H Al Thani, riding Peter, came on top achieving a time of 38.99 seconds, just 0.01 seconds behind the ideal time, followed by Tamim Fahad H Al Marri on Peter in second place, 0.07 seconds behind the ideal time, and Salha Khalid A Al Obaidli, riding Lancome Paris, in third place, 0.08 seconds behind the ideal time.
Ahmed Khalid Al Humaidi, Heritage and Heritage Specialist at Al Shaqab, honoured the winners of the first three places and awarded them with their prizes.
Commenting on the start of the second round of the Doha International Equestrian Tour, Nasser Al Hajri, the Tour’s Sports Director, expressed his happiness with the level of participation that the Doha International Equestrian Tour has been enjoying year after year, stressing that the number of riders participating in the current edition of the Doha International Tour has noticeably increased compared to the previous edition, which makes the upcoming rounds exceptional, especially the four-star and five-star category which are witnessing the participation of a group of world-class riders.
He added, "The Doha International Equestrian Tour represents an exceptional start to the equestrian season in Qatar, and represents a strong moral boost for our riders to develop their skills and raise their levels, especially since some of the rounds saw the brilliance of the Qatari riders.”
The Doha International Equestrian Tour 2025 comprises 3 international rounds, where the first and second rounds are allocated to the two-star and four-star categories, while the third and final round include the five-star and two-star categories. This year’s edition of the championship is organized by the Qatar Equestrian Federation, Al Shaqab, and the Qatar Olympic Committee, and is officially sponsored by Doha Bank, Al Abdulghani Motors, and Zabarjad Jewellery.
