SANTIAGO: A round of political talks has been held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Chile in the Chilean capital, Santiago.
The Qatari side in the political talks was headed by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, while the Chilean side was headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Alberto van Klaveren Stork.
During the round of political talks, relations between the two friendly countries and ways to support and develop them were discussed, in addition to a number of issues of common interest.
Following the round of talks, the governments of the two countries signed two agreements: an agreement to hold political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, and an agreement on mutual exemption from entry visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, special and official passports.
