The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) will mark the International Day of Education, designated by United Nations General Assembly on January 24, 2018, as an annual celebration of education’s vital role in achieving sustainable development.

In a statement, the ministry announced a week-long series of activities from January 19 to 23 under the theme ‘Education is Everyone’s Responsibility’, highlighting education’s importance in fostering peace and development.

Public and private schools will take part by hosting a wide range of events, including workshops, exhibitions, and competitions designed to promote social responsibility in education and underscore its essential role in building strong communities.

The celebration aims to strengthen partnerships between the ministry, parents, and various organisations to enhance education quality. Activities will include collaborative initiatives with families, government entities, and private institutions to share experiences, showcase student achievements, and highlight school programs.

On January 22, the ministry will host a special event addressing key contemporary educational topics such as artificial intelligence in education and investment in education sector.

The event will feature presentations by Education Above All and Teach For Qatar, alongside an exhibition showcasing innovative educational initiatives.
