The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has launched the Iftar fasting campaign for Ramadan 1446 AH, offering 300,000 Iftar meals across nine squares statewide, with the possibility of expansion.
Chairman of Iftar committee at the Ministry of Endowments, Muhammad Yaqoub Al Ali, said the campaign is one of the community initiatives undertaken by the Ministry with the aim of spreading the ethos of interdependence and collaboration among the community members as advocated by the Islamic religion.
He praised the efforts of benefactors who supported the campaign, along with the record turnout on the part of many of them to gain rewards and good deeds, highlighting that two of those good people generously supported the campaign through covering the expense of breakfast in Muraikh and the Industrial Area, with QR700 for each by offering 30,000 meals during the Holy Ramadan. page 2
