DOHA: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has called on sea-goers, fishermen and fishing enthusiasts not to leave fishing nets in the sea, and to work to remove them by all possible means, due to their danger to aquatic life.

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has drawn the attention of sea-goers to the fact that leaving fishing gear and nets in the water is considered a violation of Environmental Law, and that this exposes the person to legal accountability, stressing that the patrols of the Beaches and Islands Unit of the Natural Reserves Administration work around the clock.
