The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a partial shift of traffic on Al Mirqab Al Jadeed Street between Mohammed Bin Al Qasim Junction and Zaid Al Khail Junction (in front of Al Mirqab Mall), starting on Wednesday, March 27, for one month.
During this Period, vehicles heading towards Fereej Bin Mahmood will be diverted to a parallel road with one lane in each direction. Temporary parking will be provided on the opposite side of Al Mirqab Al Jadeed Street, along with temporary safe pedestrian crossings.
The diversion comes as part of Interim Improvement of Main Roads in Al Nasr Area Project, which aims to improve traffic movement, reduce congestion and provide additional parking bays in the area. The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift. (TNN)
