Hilal Al Waab (Sinan Al Rayyan x Sharuby HP) claimed the Senior Stallions Championship Gold Medal at the fourth Qatar National Arabian Peninsula Horse Show for Individual Owners on Tuesday.
At the Al Shaqab Indoor Arena, the three-year-old grey horse, owned by Mohammed Abdul Rahman al Nuaimi and bred by Sheikh Abdulla bin Khalid al Thani, collected 22 points to beat Mountaser Laffan (Ansata Nile Echo x Authentic Monisa) by two points. Mohanned Al Waab (Barraq El Aliya x Ansata Munia) was third with 5 points.
Saef Mohammed al Hajri-owned Ehsan Al Shahania (Barraq El Aliya x Salomeh) emerged the Senior Mares Championship Gold Medallist, beating Al Jouha Al Waab (Ansata Selman x Al Angha Al Rayyan) 21-18. Third place went to Blmira Al Shmokh, who got 10 points.
Aseel Al Jasasiya (Barraq El Aliya x Arwa al Waab) scored 23 points and won the Junior Colts Championship. The Jabor Nasser al Kuwari-owned three-year-old grey colt beat RB Ghazi (Shagran Al Nasser x Roda Al Waab), who got 14 points. Singleton Assayel Aluwaynah finished third.
Toya Al Rowdha (Al Added Al Shaqab x Taraf Al Dhabi), owned and bred by Mohammed Abdul Rahman al Nuami, beat Dheba El Msareer (Barraq El Aliya x Anood Al Waab) 18-14 to clinch the Junior Fillies Championship Gold Medal. Shahrazad Al Waab took the last step on the podium with 12 points.
The Yearling Colts Gold Medal was bagged by Farhan Al Adeed (Al Raheeb AA x Ravenwood America), which dominated the event and logged 28 points. Fares Al Bairq was runner-up with nine points, while Shaheen Al Jassasiya was third with seven points.
Rayana Al Sraiya (Al Adeed Al Shaqab x Barakeh Al Kamar) emerged the champion in the Yearling Fillies Championship. Mayar AH had nine points and was second, while Maial Jassasiya was third with seven points.
Bashir Al Rayyan (Ansata Nile Echo x G Shafaria), a seven-year-old grey horse of Salmeen Khalid al Sowaidi bred in the Sheikh Abdulaziz al Thani Al Rayyan Farm, was adjudged the best in the Stallions 7 Years & Over contest. He beat Mohanned Al Waab (Barraq El Aliya x Ansata Munira) to win the title. Fareed Al Kenaniyah was third.
In the Stallions 4 to 6 Years category, Hilal Al Waab (Sinan Al Ryyan x Sharuby HP) defeated Mountaser Laffan (Ansata Nine Echo x Authentic Monisa) to win the title. Sultan Al Rayyan got the third spot.
