DOHA: His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has patronised the graduation ceremony of the seventh batch of cadet students at the Police College of the Police Academy, in Al Sailiya.

The ceremony was attended by a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs and Ministers.

The ceremony was also attended by Minister of Interior of the sisterly Republic of Iraq HE Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Kamel Al-Shammari, Minister of Interior of the sisterly State of Palestine HEMajor General Ziad Mahmoud Hab Al-Reeh,and senior security and military leaders from a number of sisterly and friendly countries.

It was also attended by the heads of diplomatic missions in the country, senior officers from the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior, the Amiri Guard, the State Security Service, the Lekhwiya Force, senior security leaders and guests of the ceremony.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the national anthem was played, followed by the commander of the column asking permission from His Highness the Amir to inspect the column of graduates, which included 136 graduates from the State of Qatar, the Republic of Iraq, the State of Palestine, and the Federal Republic of Somalia.

After reciting verses from the Holy Quran, and displaying the graduates’ parade and military parade, His Highness the Amir honoured the top graduating students.

The flag was handed over from the seventh batch to the eighth batch, the appointment order was read, the parade departed, and the Friends of the Police College 'Police of Tomorrow'parade of school students entered.

At the end of the ceremony, the officers of the seventh batch took the oath and the college anthem was sung.
