Seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton made on Monday his first appearance at the Ferrari’s headquarters following his blackmoster move from Mercedes to the Italian team.

Hamilton started the new era of his dazzling career by sharing a picture of him posing outside Ferrari’s factory buildings in an all-black suit and alongside an F40 sports car.

The post was captioned with an emotional message. "There are some days that you know you’ll remember forever and today, my first as a Ferrari driver, is one of those days,” he wrote.

"I’ve been lucky enough to have achieved things in my career I never thought possible, but part of me has always held on to that dream of racing in red. I couldn’t be happier to realise that dream today,” Hamilton continued.

The driver is expected to carry out a number of pre-season tasks at Maranello this week, from meeting staff to conducting simulator work, ahead of his first - and yet-to-be-confirmed - outing in a Ferrari F1 car.

"Today we start a new era in the history of this iconic team, and I can’t wait to see what story we will write together,” he said.

Hamilton made his F1 debut with McLaren, winning his first world title with the British team. He joined Mercedes in 2013, winning six titles before making his final season with the German outfit in 2024.

At Ferrari, he will be team-mates with fan favourite Charles Leclerc.
