DOHA: His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has patronized the graduation ceremony of the third batch of student candidates at the Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Maritime Academy, at the Academy's headquarters in Al Shamal City.
The ceremony was attended by a number of Sheikhs and Ministers.
The ceremony was also attended by Minister of Defense of the sisterly Federal Republic of Somalia HE Abdul Qadir Mohamed Nour,and a number of senior leaders of security and military colleges.
It was also attended by a number ofheads of diplomatic missions, military attachés in the country, senior officers from the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior, the Amiri Guard, the State Security Service, the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), senior security leaders and guests of the ceremony.
The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthem, then the commander of the column asked permission from His Highness the Amir to inspect the column of graduates, which numbered 69 graduates from the State of Qatar and the Federal Republic of Somalia.
After reciting verses from the Holy Quran and viewing the graduates’ parade and military parade, His Highness the Amir honoured the outstanding students of the batch.
Then, the ceremony of receiving and handing over the academy flag from the third batch to the fourth batch took place, the appointment order was read, and the parade line left.
At the end of the ceremony, the officers of the third batch took the oath and the academy anthem was played.
