Doha Festival City (DFC), Qatar’s largest and preferred retail, entertainment and dining family destination, will celebrate its second anniversary in style with a live performance featuring Iraqi performer Rahma Riad on April 5 at 7.30pm.
The event will mark the start of a series of amazing activities at the Centre Court for customers to enjoy the day.
The mall will also celebrate with giveaways to shoppers, a giant cake moment, bespoke cupcakes distribution, confetti canons, photo booth and a series of parades throughout the month
Since its opening, Doha Festival City (DFC) has become the partner of choice for top Qatari and regional retail groups, including Alshayaa, Azadea, Apparel, Ali Bin Ali, Abu Issa and many others. In addition, DFC is known to be the preferred shopping mall for customers with more than 411 stores currently open, including latest additions such as Secret Notes, L’eto café, Atassay, ACE Hardware, The Coffee Club and Maki.
With more theme parks opening to the public this year, DFC is also set to become the preferred entertainment destination. Virtuocity, the region’s first dedicated gaming hub that merges both virtual and real worlds, will have its official opening event soon to be followed by the much-anticipated Angry Birds Outdoors.
Snow Dunes have already started making snow at -7c degrees with a schedule to launch later this year, allowing customers to experience snow for the first time ever in Qatar.
Robert Hall, general manager of Doha Festival City, said: “During the past two years, we have witnessed steady growth and we have become Qatar’s preferred retail partner and destination for shopping and entertainment. With the recent efforts of the Qatar National Tourism Council, the market is becoming consistently favourable helping us in attracting international players and creating unique experiences for our shoppers.”
He added, “Times spent within Doha Festival City is about celebrating special moments with family and friends. We are proud to be sharing these in return with our customers, retailers and staff at DFC. That’s why, on this very special occasion, we would like to invite our customers to join us our 2nd anniversary celebration on April 5 for yet another unique experience that goes beyond shopping.”
