QSindhis, a social and community welfare organisation of expatriate Pakistanis in Qatar, organised a colourful function to mark Sindhi Cultural Day 2025 at Al Waha Club, Al Khor.
The event celebrated the rich heritage of Sindh through music, dance, and traditional festivities. Community members including families and children were dressed up in traditional Sindhi dresses. Wearing ajrak (shawl) and topi (cap), they showcased unity and pride of Sindh’s rich culture.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Qatar HE Muhammad Aamer, who was the chief guest, expressed his delight on attending the event and congratulated QSindhis on organising a culturally rich evening. He emphasised the importance of preserving the Sindhi language and encouraged Sindhi families, especially women, to teach their children how to read and write Sindhi. He also suggested that QSindhis should consider organising physical or online Sindhi language classes to ensure the sustainability of their linguistic heritage.

“From distributing rations during COVID-19 to supporting flood-affected areas in Pakistan, arranging blood donation camps in Qatar, and providing medical and educational assistance in Sindh, QSindhis has played a vital role in fostering unity and service,” he noted.
The venue was beautifully adorned with models of antique Sindhi handicrafts and artifacts from Mohenjo-daro, showcasing the rich heritage of the 5,000-year-old Indus Valley
Civilization.
