London: Haas have appointed Laura Muller as the first female race engineer in Formula One. The German, who will be working with Frenchman Esteban Ocon during the 2025 season, takes up the crucial role of working most closely with the drivers and will be the voice heard on the team radio. Muller has worked previously in endurance racing and with Haas as a simulator and performance engineer. Team principal Ayao Komatsu said: "Her work ethic, determination and technical understanding is very good. We believe she is the right fit for Esteban.” Haas will also have a female head of strategy for 2025 after bringing Carine Cridelich from Racing Bulls. (PA Media/dpa)
