Lewis Hamilton’s dream first week at Ferrari continued on Wednesday as he completed the first laps driving one of the team’s Formula One cars.
The seven-time world champion was pictured while driving the car at Ferrari’s Fiorano track, which is located just around the corner from their headquarters in Maranello, Italy.
Hamilton left Mercedes, where he won six of his seven titles, to join Ferrari from this season and his first week at work included meetings with team chiefs, introductions to employees, tours of factory buildings and more.
The driver also shared a picture on X of his first Ferrari helmet - in yellow and with the team’s logo. At Ferrari, Hamilton will reunite with his former trainer Angela Cullen. They had linked up ahead of the 2016 but parted ways in 2023.
According to reports, Cullen has joined Hamilton’s Project 44 company, which Hamilton created to assist with his new era at Ferrari and other business interests, as team physio.
