Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a series of high-level meetings on the sideline of the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos, Switzerland, on Wednesday.

The prime minister met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and discussed cooperation between the two countries and the ways to strengthen them, as well as developments in Ukraine and latest developments in Syria, in addition to a range of topics of shared interest.

The Ukraine president expressed appreciation of Qatar’s efforts in reuniting the Ukrainian children with their families in Ukraine as part of its continuous mediation to reunite families separated due to the Russia-Ukraine crisis.

The prime minister also met with Prime Minister of Egypt Dr Mostafa Madbouly.

The meeting discussed relations between the two countries and the ways of strengthening them as well as the means of ensuring the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of detainees and prisoners, in addition to discussing the latest developments in Syria.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated continued coordination between the two countries within the framework of joint mediation, in a manner that ensures the parties implement the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of detainees and prisoners.

The PM also met with Vice-President for Strategic Affairs of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif and discussed ways to develop relations between the two countries, the developments in the region, especially in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to a number of topics of common interest.

The Iranian vice-president voiced his appreciation for Qatar’s role and its efforts that contributed to reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and exchanging the prisoners and detainees.

Sheikh Mohammed also held discussion sessions with Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Noel Barrot and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway Espen Barth Eide.

The meetings discussed ties between Qatar and the two countries and ways to bolster them, as well as a range of topics of mutual interest.
