The Embassy of Malaysia in Qatar, in cooperation with Malaysian Association in Qatar and Future Medical and Dental Centre organised a health day and health awareness programme for the Malaysian community in Doha on Friday.

The event was attended by Ambassador of Malaysia to Qatar HE Mohammad Faizal bin Razali, Future Medical and Dental Centre Managing Director Eng Diaa Salem and senior management, embassy officials, and around 200 members of Malaysian community.

In his address on the occasion, Ambassador Razali underscored the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle and work-life balance in the community, stressing that a healthy diet and regular exercise should be made a routine and inculcated among the youths.

The envoy thanked the management of the medical centre for their thoughtful and valuable contributions in fulfilling their corporate social responsibility to raising health awareness and promoting active lifestyle.

During the event, free medical checkups for blood pressure, sugar, cholesterol, kidney and liver were conducted as well as ECG tests and dental check-ups .

Eng Salem said that Future Medical and Dental Centre plans to conduct similar programmes in future as part of its ongoing efforts to support Qatar National Vision 2030 and for building a world-class integrated healthcare sector.

"These efforts are in sync with the country’s National Health Strategy to increase private participation, improve access to quality healthcare, governance and promote healthier society,” he said.
