Qatar Chamber board member and Chairperson of the Qatar Businesswomen Forum Ibtihaj Al-Ahmadani inaugurated on Saturday, January 25, the 12th edition of the "Arabian Woman Exhibition” at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

The ceremony was attended by leading businesswomen and entrepreneurs from Qatar and other countries, along with Tamader al-Marri, director of Vogue Event Company, the

exhibition’s organising company.

The exhibition, which will run until Friday, January 31 under the sponsorship of the Qatari Businesswomen Forum (QBWF), features 200 domestic and foreign booths, showcasing the works of more than 140 notable female entrepreneurs from Qatar.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, she highlighted the significant successes and developments the exhibition has achieved year after year in terms of organization, exhibitors, and showcased items. She emphasized that it has become an important platform bringing together Qatari designers and their counterparts from Gulf, Arab, and foreign countries to showcase their latest innovations and designs in fashion and garments.

She called on businesswomen participating in the exhibition to promote fruitful cooperation between them for the benefit of this important industry.

She noted that the exhibition, which is being held in its twelfth consecutive session, has become a significant platform for showcasing the role of women and their achievements, as well as for exchanging experiences in the fields of design, innovation, and women’s accessories.

Al-Ahmadani emphasized the QBWF’s commitment to empowering women as a fundamental pillar of achieving sustainable development. She highlighted that Arab women have demonstrated their ability to create, innovate, and contribute effectively to building their societies and advancing their economies.

She stressed that the QBWF is committed to supporting initiatives that enhance women’s participation in various sectors, in line with Qatar’s National Vision 2030.

She further highlighted the importance of strengthening the presence of Arab women in the fields of business and investment, encouraging them to pursue entrepreneurship and engage in small and medium-sized enterprises, which constitute the backbone of economies in the developed world.

QC board member praised the Arabian Women Exhibition, terming it as a great opportunity to exchange experiences and insights, while showcasing inspiring success stories that can serve as a

motivation for future generations.

Following the inauguration, al-Ahmadani toured the pavilions and was briefed about the most recent designs and items created by Qatari and other designers in the sectors of fashion, accessories, and women’s products.

For her part, Tamader Al-Marri said the exhibition witnessed significant development through its eleventh editions in terms of exhibits, designs, and the participating designers.

She also said that the event is beneficial to Qatari female designers and entrepreneurs, pointing out that Qatar has become a significant destination for major exhibitions and events.

Al-Marri noted that this edition features the latest designs in the fields of fashion, accessories and women’s supplies, especially those related to the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.She indicated that this editionfeatures the participation ofmany designers from GCC countries in addition to Lebanon and Turkey, in addition to the distinguished local participation of about 140 Qatari women entrepreneurs who present their latest innovations at the exhibition.

She highlighted that the exhibition features the latest designs in fashion, accessories, and women’s supplies, particularly those related to Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. She added that this edition stands out for its extensive external participation, including all Arab Gulf countries, Lebanon, and Turkey, alongside a remarkable local presence of more than 140 Qatari women entrepreneurs showcasing their latest innovations.
